HI NEW ORLEANS HOSTEL

The hostel sits on Canal Street at the edge of the French Quarter, a 1-minute walk from the French Quarter and a 10-minute walk to Bourbon Street. The 202 airport bus stops one block away, and the Riverfront streetcar line is two blocks from the entrance. Guests can walk to Jackson Square, the WWII Museum, and the Convention Center within 15 minutes.

Each bed in the dormitory rooms has a privacy curtain, a reading lamp, two outlets with USB ports, and a shelf for phones. The key card that opens the room door also unlocks the individual locker under the bed, eliminating the need for a padlock. Private rooms with queen beds and bunk beds are available, all with ensuite bathrooms.

The second-floor kitchen has four large refrigerators, multiple cooktops, a commercial dishwasher, and a pantry with free coffee available 24/7. The lobby offers a pool table, comfortable seating areas, and a workstation with monitors for guest use. Laundry facilities include one washer and one dryer, with detergent pods provided, and the cost is $3 per load.

Free continental breakfast is served daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, including bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and chicory coffee. The on-site restaurant, 55 Fahrenheit, offers handcrafted cocktails and shared plates in the evening. The Canal Street Burger Bar serves premium burgers daily from 11:00 AM to midnight.

Guest access is controlled by key cards at the front door, all guest floors, and every dorm room. The hostel has 24/7 front desk staff and CCTV in common areas and outside the property. Each bathroom on every floor is a private, lockable room with a toilet, sink, and shower, cleaned twice daily.
